The Art and Heart of Peruvian Decaf – Nestled within the lush Amazonian Andes of northern Peru, our Peruvian Decaf Supreme coffee begins its journey. Born from the cooperative efforts of smallholder farmers united under the Asociacion de Productores Cafetaleros Juan Marco El Palto (JUMARP) and Cooperativa Agricola de Servicios Norandino, this coffee embodies the spirit of community and the pursuit of excellence in every bean.
In 2003, just 35 small farmers came together with a vision to transform their coffee into something extraordinary. Today, JUMARP has grown to include 189 members, including 40 women who play a pivotal role in the coop’s decision-making process. Together, they steward over 550 hectares of organic and Fair Trade Certified coffee, a testament to their commitment to sustainable practices and equitable growth.
This medium roast coffee is decaffeinated using the Swiss Water® Process, an innovative, 100% chemical-free method that preserves the coffee’s inherent flavors while removing caffeine. The result is a cup that is rich and full-bodied, with tasting notes of dark chocolate and almond, complemented by a mellow acidity. The process ensures that every sip offers the indulgence of caramel and smooth citrus, without the buzz.
Grown at altitudes ranging from 1,100 to 1,800 meters on clay mineral soil, our Peruvian Decaf Supreme benefits from the perfect combination of climate and cultivation. The varietals – Caturra, Typica, Pache, Bourbon, and Catimor – are carefully processed, gully washed, and sun-dried, ensuring a product that’s as rich in history as it is in taste.
With each cup of Peruvian Decaf Supreme, you’re not just enjoying a decaffeinated coffee; you’re embarking on a journey to the heart of Peru. You’re supporting the dreams of smallholder farmers, the resilience of cooperative communities, and the preservation of the Andean environment. This coffee is an invitation to experience the vibrant culture of Peru, to indulge in the tranquility of a caffeine-free cup, and to celebrate the beauty of a life lived in harmony with the earth.
Indulge in the tranquility and rich flavors of our Peruvian Decaf Supreme, and let it inspire a moment of peace, reflection, and connection to the ancient lands and spirited communities of Peru.
